PACKAGING LABEL SCANNER APPLICATION ON ANDROID

Abstract

This paper presents the packaging label scanner application on android operating system. There are many types of packaging label that it makes many problems to the customers who have no idea about the meaning of the packaging label. The application is made for customers who using the android smartphone which is implemented with Java and OpenCV library. It consists of a main page which displays the menu, the tutorial of the application. Moreover, the camera menu is used to scan the symbol on the package label. While the symbol on the label is scanned, the AR image and the meaning of symbol are displayed. In the experiments, the sample students of SuanSunandhaRajabhat University are very satisfied. The average score is 4.24. The using application score is 4.3. The satisfaction of application is 4.24 and the overall performance is 4.02 out of 5 points.
