FACTORS AFFECTING THE ACCESS TO ONLINE TEACHING MATERIALS TO RAISE THE ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT OF STUDENTS ENROLLING GEH1101 - AESTHETICS APPRECIATION COURSE, OFFERED BY THE OFFICE OF GENERAL EDUCATION AND ELECTRONIC LEARNING INNOVATION, SUAN SUNANDHA RAJ
Abstract
The study aims to two folds: one is to study factors affecting the access to online teaching materials of students enrolling GEH1101 - Aesthetics Appreciation Course; to raise the academic achievement of those students. The course is offered by the Office of General Education and Electronic Learning Innovation, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University. A questionnaire is used for collecting data, consisting 3 parts – general information, factors affecting the access, and suggestion. The 317 respondents are undergraduate students enrolling the subject in 2/2017 academic year, applying simple sampling method from the total population at 1,837. The results reveal that:
- Factor on computer lab overall is at the high level. When considering the individual aspect, the sufficiency is at the highest level; the coverage and speed of the internet and LAN signals in the lab is at the high level; and the wireless signal is at the moderate level.
- Factor on e-learning (subject website) overall is at the high level. On the other hand, factor affecting the access to the online material overall and individual aspects are at the moderate level; namely, the lesson review video – the picture and voice are clear and easy to be viewed; the variety, the modernization, the matching to course description, and the understanding promotion; the completeness of teaching material downloading; the interesting activity, the repetition and other stimulation; the study manual for website usage.
It can be concluded that factor on e-learning (website) affects the access to online teaching materials of students enrolling GEH1101 - Aesthetics Appreciation course.
