THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LEARNING STYLES LIFESTYLE AND PUBLIC MIND OF THE FIRST YEAR STUDENTS OF SUAN SUNANDHA RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY
Abstract
This survey research aimed to 1) study the level of learning style, lifestyle, and public mind of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s first year, 2) compare personal characteristics of the students with learning style, lifestyle, and public mind and 3) study the predictability of personal characteristics, learning style, lifestyle, and public mind of the students. The population of this survey research were 7,665 freshmen in the academic year of 2561 with the total of 381 random samples. The data were obtained from a questionnaire and analyzed by using statistics such as mean, standard deviation, correlation coefficient, One-way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings are as follow: 1) the students with team games tournaments have the highest mean score at 4.26, the ones with participation in activity lifestyle have the highest mean score at 4.32, and public mind with service mind get the highest mean score at 3.93. 2) gender differences and native habitats affect public mind also 3) there were 9 variables predicted public mind: cooperative learning style, alienated lifestyle, participatory learning style, independent learning style, competitive learning style, academic lifestyle, vocational lifestyle, and public service lifestyle. These predictors predicted students’ public mind at 80 percent with the deviation at 0.13.
